Amputee Rehabilitation

We understand how your life and mobility can change significantly when you undergo an amputation and are learning how to use a prosthetic limb. Our physical therapists are passionate about helping you achieve your mobility goals and return to the activities that you love.

What to Expect

Our team of physical therapists will evaluate your strength, range of motion, coordination, and current level of mobility.

Our therapists will:

  • Teach you how to manage your post-operative wound and your prosthetic limb.
  • Collaborate with your prosthetist to optimize the fit and function of your prosthetic limb.
  • Teach you how to use your prosthetic limb to maximize your safety and independence with your daily activities.

Individuals with a history of the following would benefit:

Recent or prior amputation

Use of a prosthetic limb

New prosthetic component (new socket, suspension system, foot, etc.)

Out of all the PTs I’ve seen, the one at Hulst Jepsen is the only one to ever listen and help me fix the problem. She was a life saver! I’m never going anywhere else.
