DPT – Doctor of Physical Therapy
Cert MDT – Certified McKenzie Method
Kelly is a licensed physical therapist at our Hudsonville clinic. Kelly grew up in Saginaw, MI, and moved to the Grand Rapids area for school. She graduated from Grand Valley State University with her Bachelor of Science in Allied Health Sciences in 2011 and worked as a rehab tech for Hulst Jepsen prior to going on to physical therapy school. She obtained her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Grand Valley State University in 2016.
Kelly went on to become MDT certified through the McKenzie Institute in 2018. She has a breadth of clinical experience working with adults and children who experience chronic pain related to a variety of conditions such as fibromyalgia, back/neck pain, CRPS, headaches/whiplash, amplified musculoskeletal pain, and juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. She also enjoys working with acute orthopedic conditions and has additional experience working with neurologic conditions such as brain injury and Parkinson’s disease. She completed her graduate research on balance testing in healthy adults and those with Parkinson’s disease and has been able to utilize those skills in the treatment of balance deficits. She recognizes that every person is different and values individualized treatment to best fit each person’s needs.
In her free time, Kelly enjoys spending time with her husband and 4 children. She loves to travel and be outdoors. She and her family spend their summers going to the beach, riding bikes, and exploring nature. She also loves to hit the slopes to snowboard in the winter months and hopes to teach her kids to join her soon.
